Musical Monday - Celine Dion

Have you ever been in love
You could touch the moonlight
When your heart's shooting stars
You're holding heaven in your arms
Have you ever been so in love

Have you ever walked on air
Ever felt like you were dreamin'
When you never thought it could
But it really feels that good
Have you ever been so in love

Have you ever been in love
You could touch the moonlight
When your heart's shooting star
You're holding heaven in your arms
Have you ever been in love, have you...

The time I spent
Waiting for something that was heaven-sent
When you find it don't let go,
I know

Have you ever said a prayer
And found that it was answered
All my hope has been restored
And I ain't looking anymore
Have you ever been so in love, have you...

Some place that you ain’t leavin’
Somewhere you're gonna stay
When you finally found the meanin'
Have you ever felt this way

The time I spent
Waiting for something that was heaven-sent
When you find it, don't let go,
I know...

Coz have you ever been so in love, so in love
You could touch the moonlight
You can even reach the stars
Doesn't matter near or far
Have you ever been so in love

Have you ever been in love
Have you ever been in love
So in... love...

Wishful Wednesday

This Wednesday, I am wishing that this weekend goes well.

For the past two weekends, Mr. GrapeJuice and I have been looking at houses with our realtor.
I've found one that I like, and he's found one that he likes. However, they are two completely different styles.
The one I like is more contemporary and has great updates and features. The one he likes is an older home with great square footage.
We are going to view a few more homes this weekend, and I hope we fall in love with one of them.
Also, this weekend, I'm taking my mom, matron of honor {sister}, and my maid of honor {BFF} to see what I hope will be my wedding dress.

Musical Monday - Jon Schmidt

I randomly found this song combo on YouTube. Due to copyright, the composer can't sell the song. He's been trying to contact the artist but hasn't had any luck. I'm completely in love with it. It would make great processional or a prelude music. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It combines Taylor Swift's Love Story with Coldplay's Viva La Vida.

Wedding Fact Friday

Peas.
Who likes peas?
I like black-eyed peas but not green peas.
Would you like peas to be thrown at you instead of rice?

I have Czech ancestry, but I'm not sure I'd let my Nana throw peas at me.
Would you?

Surprise Wedding Reception

I was clicking around YouTube this morning and found a wonderfully sweet video. It's by a group called Improv Everywhere, and they stage scenes in random places at random times. This scene really touched my heart because not everyone has the luxury of throwing a wedding and having all the amenities that come with it. I hope you enjoy the video.

Musical Monday - Jason Mraz

It took Mr. GrapeJuice and I awhile to figure out what our song was. I think it was nearly a year. But, it's funny, because as soon as we started dating, I started hearing it everywhere. My first exposure to it was at a cast party the same February that we started dating. Pretty cool, right? When we were apart and heard it on the radio, we would call each other and play it over the phone. {Yes, we're that couple!} To this day, it still makes me smile, and I love the feeling I get listening to it.

I'm Yours

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
Now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
And nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment babay sing with me
I love peace for melody
And It's our God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love loved

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Scooch on over closer dear
And I will nibble your ear

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what I'm be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find that the sky is yours
Please don't, please don't, please don't
There's no need to complicate
Cause our time is short
This oh this this is out fate, I'm yours!

And, because I can't pass up anything cute, here you go!

Light the Way

I love light. There is just something about it that can make or break your mood. For example, I seriously dislike fluorescent lights. They are unflattering to both figure and face. I always seem to look tired and pasty in fluorescent lighting. {This is why makeup is a girl's best friend.} And, trying on clothes in a dressing room, let's just not even go there. {This is why girls shop in pairs/groups.}

photo : archi expo

Now, uplighting I like. It's dramatic and can completely change the ambiance of a room. Why go for just a dimly lit room when you can completely make your own with uplighting. Bring in an amber color to set a romantic mood. Or, use colors from the scheme of your wedding/event. However, you choose to use it; you won't be sorry. Change something ordinary into something extraordinary.

photos : entertainment tonite

Me? I'm a fan of the blues, the yellows/ambers, and the purples. It's soft and welcoming while adding a "Let's Celebrate" vibe, especially the purple uplighting. I just have to see a picture, and I start melting. I would love to add something like this to my wedding reception - wherever it may be! :) However, I'm not quite sure it's in the budget. Again, a girl can dream, right?! {Of course.}

Stop and Smell the Roses

Admittedly, I do not like roses. They are a very generic flower that is quite overused. I associate cheesy high school romances with them. You know...like the dreaded prom corsage??

photo : pgclms teenspace

Blech.
Remind me again why I obsessed over prom two years in a row!!
Perhaps I'm just a glutton for punishment.

I digress {because I swear there's a point to this}!

A couple of months ago, I started falling in love with peonies. They seem to be the IT flower right now. I like how full they are and the suppleness of the bloom. For a beautiful bouquet, you don't really seem to need many stems either when using peonies.

photo : vogue flowers

Peonies can get quite costly though. For just a bridal bouquet, you could end up spending a pretty penny. For me, that's a deterrence. When you're on a budget, it's hard to justify a huge purchase on flowers. You know? Luckily though, I found a suitable alternative in the rose family. {Here comes my point!}

photo : matha stewart

Do you see how similar they appear?! It's like magic. One, I, apparently, can like roses. And, two, I can find a suitable alternative for peonies! {Don't worry. I googled it. They're not the same flowers with different names.}
Now, let's play a game!
Guess which flower arrangement is which!!
{This should be fun.}

Arrangement One

Arrangement Two

Let the guessing begin!!

New Year; New Me; New Job

So...
here I am...
sitting at my computer after my first day at my new job.
For the life of me, I can't think of a wedding-related thing.
The first day was great.
Everything went smoothly, and I'm excited to go back today.
I'm just tired from no sleep...
{I sweat I woke up 5 times because I was worried I wouldn't hear my alarm}
and Jillian Michaels kicked my butt when I did get up.
Plus, I was so nervous about making it all perfect that I didn't exactly...
you know...
eat.

I'll post something tomorrow.
Promise.
Thanks for sticking with me!

p.s. Only 2 more followers!
We're so close.

Musical Monday - Jim Cummings

I'm a fool for Disney princess movies. When I saw that they were making The Princess and the Frog, I was seriously stoked. I couldn't wait for it to come out! {yes, I know that I am an adult} I went and saw it last week. It wasn't what I was expecting, but I adored every second of it. By the time it was over, I had no idea that it had been 2 hours. I simply adored the firefly from the bayou; he was so precious. I couldn't help but think how perfect one of his songs would be for a wedding.

Ma Belle Evangeline

Look how she lights up the sky
Ma belle Evangeline
So far above me yet I
Know her heart belongs to only me

J'adore, J'taime, Evangeline
You're my queen of the night
So still, so bright

To someone as beautiful as she
Who loves someone like me
Love always finds a way, it's true
And I love you Evangeline
(spoken)
Oooh, yeah!

(sung)
Love is beautiful
Love is beautifil
Love is everything, do you agree?
Mais oui!

Look how she lights up the sky
I love you, Evangeline

lyrics : STLyrics

p.s. Today is my first day of school as teacher, wish me luck!
